CA$H! or How Not to Blow $17,000


CA$H! is an original devised play sponsored by Bank of America's Smart Money program performed at California State University of Fullerton. Four students struggle to create a play and are miraculously given $17,000 to use at their disposal. A rift is created in the group and chaos is unleashed as they try to figure out how to handle all the money. The objective given to me was to create a show that taught the fundamentals of financial literacy to high school students in a fun and edgy way. Having a devised approach to the process allowed us to create a funny and witty script that was relevant to a younger audience. It also gave us the freedom to use physicality and design elements to bring a playful approach to educating our audience on a dull topic.
